Faruk Kalaycı
Born in Istanbul in 2000, Faruk Kalaycı, started his piano studies at Istanbul University State Conservatory at the age of six with Prof. Eser Bilgeman. At the age of 14 he performed J. S. Bach d minor keyboard concerto with the orchestra of the Bakirkoy Council, same year, he performed Mozart’s A Major Piano Concerto KV545. Kalaycı, subsequently, performed many piano concertos such as Tchaikovsky’s 1st and F. Chopin’s 2nd with various orchestras at a very young age. In December 2016 he received the second prize at the First Annual Bursa Nilüfer International PianoCompetition. 2017 May, he won the first prize of his category, Grand Prix in The 12. International PeraPiano Competition. He was invited to many festivals, such as Bodrum Music Festival, London Contemporary Soloists and Pianissimo Festival. In 2025 January he won the 5th prize of the Fujairah International Piano Competition. Again, in 2025 August, Kalaycı won the first prize and the grand Prix in the Montenegro International Piano Competition. Currently, he is a second-grade Master of Music Program studentat the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, under the guidance of Prof. Ruvim Ostrovskiy.
