Joosang Kim

Joosang Kim, is a concert pianist active in the Berlin metropolitan area. His performances has been described as “virtuosic demands”. A pianist characterized by his grounded interpretations and solid sound, he has performed at Studiosaal, Krönungskutchensaal, Kammermusiksaal in Berlin, Boesendorfersaal in Salzburg, Usquare Keumho Art Hall, Yeongsan Yangjae Hall, and Yeongsan Art Hall in addition to many other stages in Berlin, Europe, and Korea.
He attended many of Masterclasses with DAAD (Deutscher Akademische Austauschdienst) Scholarship. He participated the Masterclasses of Dmitri Alexeev, Andrea Lucchesini, Andreas Weber, Bernd Goetzke, Ekaterina Mechetina, Richard Braun, Bjoern Lehmann, Natalya Shokhireva.
He received many of Prizes at the Competitions such as 1st Prize at the Iscart International Music Competition in Lugano, 1st Prize at the International Piano Competition ‘Paderewski in Memoriam’ in Poland, 2nd Prize at the International Moscow Music Competition in Russia, Gold Stars Prize at the Music and Stars Awards 2021 in Estonia, Gold Award at the North American Virtuoso International Music Competition and Silver Hands at the Carles and Sofia International Piano Competition.
Joosang Kim was born in Korea in 1998. His most influential former teachers were Eldar Nebolsin, Gabriele Kupfernagel at the Hanns Eisler Music University in Berlin.

Joosang Kim is a very serious, engaged, and dedicated musician, very quick learner and is always eager to expand his musical knowledge. He has temperament, musicality, and solid technique as well as good control while on stage. – Eldar Nebolsin (Pianist, Professor at the HfM Hanns Eisler Berlin.)
