LIN YE, piano

Pianist Lin Ye has begun to establish himself as one of the rising stars among the world’s crowded field of young artists. With performances from China to New Zealand and in Europe and the United States, his intense and serious musical style is winning fans and followers of all ages.

In 2008, Lin performed his first highly acclaimed concerts in Germany, and he was subsequently invited to study at the Hochschule fur Musik und Theater Hanover, Germany. While a student at the school, he completed his high school diploma, the Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Piano Performance. His distinguished professors included Vladimir Krainev, Markus Groh, Matti Raekallio and Teppo Koivisto.

Lin has won many prizes, including the 5th prize in 13th Ettlingen International Competition for Young Pianists 2012, the top prize of Anton Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Düsseldorf 2014, the audience prize in the Chopin- Gesellschaft International Piano Competition 2015, 1st prize in the Troisdorf International Piano Competition, 1st prize in the Chopin International Piano Competition Hartford CT, 3rd prize in the Artist Series National Competition in Sarasota, Florida, 3rd prize in the New York Piano Competition 2017, 1st prize in the High Point University Piano Competition and 3rd prize of Rina Sala Gallo International Piano Competition.

He has also played numerous recitals in Asia, Europe and the United States, including Richard Jakoby Hall in Hannover Germany, Dalian People’s Culture Theater in Dalian China, Merkin Hall, Carnegie Weill Hall in New York USA, Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall in Yokohama Japan, Nanjing Poly Grand Theater, Hong Kong City Hall, Historic Asolo Theater at The Ringling and Auditorium La Verdi Milan.

He also received the Artist Diploma in 2018 from the Cleveland Institute of Music where he studied with Antonio Pompa-Baldi.

He appears regularly in major concert venues all around world and is now a guest artist of Artist Series Sarasota and Poly Theater Management.
