After the licence of the Medaille d’Or at the CNR of Bordeaux in 1985, Miquel Bofill has performed in prestigious concert halls in Spain, France, The Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Austria, Rumany, Japan, Korea, Sudan and United States of America: The Berlin Potsdamer Platz Philarmonic Orchestra Hall, Frankfurt Opera, Tokyo auditorium, Seoul auditorium, The Symphony Hall Osaka, Kyoto auditorium, Rossini de Pesaro Theatre, Àngel Guimerà Theatre in Tenerife, Sevilla auditorium, Manuel de Falla auditoriu in Granada, Palau de la Música of Barcelona, Palau de la Música of Valencia and Auditori de Música of Barcelona, among others.

Miquel Bofill studied sax at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Barcelona and completed his education at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Bordeaux. Among his mentors, it is found Fernando Ribate, Adolf Ventas and Jean Marie Londeix.
During the last years, Miquel Bofill is a soloist and is part of some orchestras such as Orquestra Simfònica del Gran Teatre del Liceu de Barcelona, Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona and Nacional de Catalunya since 1987.

Bofill has worked with prestigious conductors such as E. Berstein, F. P. Decker, L. Foster, J.L Koenig, S. Comisiona, A. Ros Marbà, J. Pons, E. Colomer, S. Brotons, A. Tamayo, E. Marínez Izquierdo, A. García Asensio, García Navarro and Victor Pablo Pérez, among others. He has also colaborated with artists like Montserrat Caballé, Barbara Hendricks and Michel Camilo. He has recorded for many labels such as Turtle Records, Emergo Classics, ARS Harmonica, Audiovisuals de Sarrià, Anacrusi, Musikene Verso, Kairos, Naxos and Polifonía. And he has been part of numerous recordings for radio and TV like La UER, TVE, RNE Radio Clássica, France Musiques, RAI2, RF, SWR, ADR and DR.

Founder and member of “Quartet Sax de Barcelona” and director of the ensemble “SAX 13”. Since 1990 he is a professor of saxofon after passing a public examination in CSMM in Barcelona.
Since 2002 he is a chamber music and sax teacher at Escola Superior de Música de Barcelona ESMUC.
