MIRABELLE KAJENJERI, piano

Mirabelle Kajenjeri is a young French pianist “with a unique touch, manipulating some of the most challenging acrobatics with a (discreet) smile, disarmingly natural and generous” (La Libre Belgique). 

Born in 1998 to Burundian and Ukrainian parents, she recently had the opportunity to highlight this singular mix, as a guest speaker at TEDxRoubaix (TED Talk), an international event. 

 Her talent has been rewarded in numerous international competitions, the most recent of which is the “Santa Cecilia International Piano Competition” in Porto, where she won the 1st Prize as well as the Orchestra Prize (2021). She is also a scholarship holder of foundations such as: “Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now” (2019), “Yamaha Music Europe Foundation” (2020), “Lieven Piano Foundation Vienna” (2021), “Feuerwerk Academy Einbeck” (2022).   

From an early age, Mirabelle Kajenjeri performed in concerts, as part of renowned festivals and accompanied by various orchestras in France and abroad (“Orchester Cordes 21”, “Brandenburgische Staatsorchester Frankfurt”, “Orquestra Filarmónica Portuguesa”). 

Currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the “Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover” with Prof. Ewa Kupiec, she obtained in 2018 her Bachelor’s degree with the highest distinction at the “Royal Conservatory of Brussels” under Prof. Mikhail Faerman, Zofia Lalak and Gabriel Teclu’s guidance. 

Previously, she studied with Vladimir Soultanov at the in Roubaix – France, and her discovery of the piano, at the age of 5, was initiated by Natalia Grebennikova, in Kyiv. 

In addition, this young artist has several strings to her bow, since alongside her career as a pianist she is also passionate about the violin. 

Having studied both instruments simultaneously since childhood, Mirabelle Kajenjeri obtained her violin Bachelor’s degree in 2018 at the “Royal Conservatory of Brussels with great distinction. 

Lorenzo Gatto, Olga Zolotareva, Ning Kam as well as Elizabeth Degrenand will have been her teachers.
