“Between Wind & Strings”, a Virtuosic Journey by Irmina Bączkowska, with KNS Classical
KNS Classical is pleased to announce the release of Between Wind & Strings, the second recording by Polish violinist Irmina Bączkowska, joined by pianist Dorota Kuryło. This new album showcases a compelling selection of works that celebrate the expressive and technical breadth of the violin, ranging from operatic fantasies to monumental solo repertoire.
The program opens with Pablo de Sarasate’s Nouvelle Fantaisie sur Faust de Gounod, followed by Franz Waxman’s virtuosic Carmen Fantasie, both performed with Dorota Kuryło. At the heart of the album is J.S. Bach’s Chaconne from the Partita No. 2 in D Minor, a cornerstone of the solo violin repertoire. The journey continues with Nathan Milstein’s Paganiniana, a brilliant tribute to the legendary Paganini, and concludes with the Caprice No. 17 from Paganini’s 24 Caprices, Op. 1.
At only 20 years of age, Irmina Bączkowska is already the recipient of numerous international awards and is building a reputation for her thoughtful programming and artistic integrity. Currently studying under Professor Natan Dondalski, she continues to refine her craft both as a soloist and in collaboration with distinguished artists.
Between Wind & Strings is now available on all major digital platforms, including iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music and YouTube.
