KNS Classical Unveils Time & Space by Pianist Zhexiang Li

KNS Classical proudly presents Time & Space, an evocative new recording by pianist Zhexiang Li, winner of the 26th Santa Cecilia International Piano Competition.

A Young Ambassador of the Lang Lang International Music Foundation and student of Professors Xinning Zhang and Danwen Wei, Zhexiang Li has performed on major stages around the world since the age of 11, including in Beijing, London, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and Nagoya. His artistic journey includes collaborations with renowned orchestras such as the China Philharmonic and the Salzburg Soloists Chamber Orchestra, and performances broadcast on CCTV.

In Time & Space, Li explores how music transcends history and geography. The program opens with Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, a powerful tribute to memory and friendship. This is followed by Barber’s Piano Sonata in E-flat minor, a landmark of post-war American music, bold and uncompromising. The album closes with Nove Instantâneos by Portuguese composer Victor Macedo Pinto, a suite of fleeting, introspective miniatures that reveal another dimension of expression.

Time & Space invites the listener on a journey through image, emotion, and silence—offering a thoughtful and moving reflection on how music continues to connect us across time.
