Award-Winning Harpist Hebe Kan Yuet Releases Her Second Album with KNS Classical

Kan Yuet, the acclaimed young harpist from Hong Kong, returns to KNS Classical with her second recording for the label, featuring a programme that showcases the harp’s expressive richness and virtuosity.

The album explores the Romantic and early twentieth-century repertoire through works by Henriette Renié, Marcel Tournier, Jacques de La Presle, Elias Parish Alvars and Carlos Salzedo, alongside Renié’s transcription of Liszt’s Un Sospiro. Highlights include Renié’s dramatic Ballade Fantastique, inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s The Tell-Tale Heart, and Tournier’s evocative Féerie.

Winner of the 2024 United Kingdom Harp Competition, Kan Yuet has performed internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. A graduate of the University of Cambridge, she has continued her musical development at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

With this new release, Kan Yuet further establishes her artistic identity through a programme that combines demanding virtuosity with refined musical expression.
