Young virtuoso pianist Nikita Lukinov releases his album Kaleidoscope with KNS Classical, highlighting Russian masters’ lesser-known piano works

The album explores the breadth, complexity and sophistication of solo piano pieces written by Russian masters in their maturity, some of which have very few recordings.
Kaleidoscope covers a rich palette of sounds, moving chronologically through seven of Tchaikovsky’s 18 Pieces op. 72, Scriabin’s 2 Poemes op. 32 and Valse op. 38, and Prokofiev’s 6 Pieces from Cinderella op. 102, all of which Lukinov feels are masterpieces for pianists for their artistic and technical qualities.

As described by Lukinov himself: “Kaleidoscope is a polyhedral work: if you listen to one piece, it is nice, but if you listen to all of them, you have a bigger picture of what lies outside of the usual scope of these composers’ usual, famous repertoire”.This spring and summer, Nikita Lukinov will play several recitals featuring music from Kaleidoscope across the UK and Europe, including the Barcelona Steinway Hall, Loaningdale Festival, Isle of Bute Music Club, Edinburgh Piano Fro and Saint Mary’s Perivale, London.
KNS Classical encourages all the music enthusiasts to listen to Nikita Lukinov’s exceptional talent in this one-of-a-kind recording.

The album is available in Spotify, Itunes, Amazon and YouTube
